Captain Commander's Conquest
A downloadable game for Windows
Captain Commander's Conquest aims to combine two distinct shooting-focused genres: vertically scrolling top-down shoot 'em ups (SHMUPs) and first-person shooters (FPS).
Players take on the role of the titular Captain Commander, piloting a spaceship to combat hordes of enemy ships in SHMUP mode. When boarding or being boarded, the gameplay shifts to FPS mode, where players must defend against or take over enemy vessels.
Resource management is crucial; while commandeering ships can replenish shields and provide type advantages, players will lose upgrades obtained from previous encounters by harvesting other ship cores.
